Thanks to funding from the Department of Justice, the City of Canning’s Safe Communities Team has launched an exciting new initiative to address graffiti and vandalism in the City of Canning.
Over the next 12 months, the program aims to: ✔️ Remove graffiti quickly to reduce repeat offending ✔️ Engage young people in creative, community-led projects that help prevent future vandalism ✔️ Educate the community on correct graffiti reporting processes
What’s happening?
🧽 G.R.I.P. (Graffiti Removal Incentive Program) In partnership with Kleenit, eligible residents and local businesses can access up to $1,000 in free professional graffiti removal services. Learn more or apply at: canning.wa.gov.au/grip
🎨 Urban Art Mural Workshops Two six-week workshops delivered in collaboration with Artworks By Liv, and local schools in Bentley and Cannington, giving young people the opportunity to design and create murals in areas that are frequently affected by vandalism.

The City of Canning is cracking down on graffiti vandalism with funding from the Department of Justice’s Criminal Property Confiscation Grants Program.
As part of a grant fund, the City will provide free professional graffiti removal (up to $1,000) for eligible small business and homeowners to reclaim their walls and keep streets looking sharp. Recipients will also receive a “Goodbye Graffiti” pack with resources on how to protect their properties and prevent future vandalism.
Thanks to the program, locals are getting the power to fight crime where it counts
