Deliverable 1: Get started

Build a team, engage stakeholders identified
in the engagement planning and prepare the plan for the project by:

  • Complete
    project plan

    • This will communicate the status
of projects to the project team and sponsor for the life of the project. The
project plan consists of tasks, activities, milestones, dependencies and
resources required for the successful completion of the project

  • Complete
    engagement plan

  • Having a clear and concise understanding of
the project scope and the stakeholders that need to be included in the
development of the plan, through a desk review

  • Finalized engagement plan that steps out how
the city will engage with key stakeholders and those with a vested interest in
the development of the Neighborhood plan.

  • Multipronged engagement techniques and
processes that ensure as many key stakeholders and those with a vested interest
in the development of the Neighborhood plan are reached and involved.

  • Recorded evaluation of both internal and
external stakeholders of the engagement process. This is our information and
consideration in how to increase and improve future similar or different
    engagements.

Deliverable 6: Consultation and submission

This stage is to present the draft Neighborhood
plan to the stakeholders for final approval through a minimum of six weeks
comment and engagement period.

This will be done through a variety of means,
including written consultations, online, events, meetings and so on. The
consultation process will be carefully designed with clear questions asked, and
with people given easy-to-understand instructions to identify which parts of
the draft Neighborhood Plan or the accompanying documents they are commenting
upon.

NOTE: In submitting your proposed Neighborhood
Plan you will need to include information on how you consulted the wider
public, what responses you received and how you took any comments on board in
revising the draft. You may, therefore, find it useful to prepare a
'consultation comments schedule' which sets out who the comment is from, what
part of the Neighborhood Plan (or supporting documents) the comment refers to,
and your response to the comment made (e.g. changes that will be made to your Neighborhood
Plan).
