Public Health Plan

The City is developing its new Public Health Plan, and we’re inviting everyone connected with the City of Canning to share their priorities for their own health and wellbeing, as well as that of their community. Your input will help shape the Plan, alongside the State Public Health Plan objectives and local health statistics.

The Public Health Plan is a strategic document that sets out a framework for improving health and wellbeing across the community. It recognises the City’s ongoing role in supporting public health and outlines the initiatives that will guide efforts to encourage healthier lifestyles, prevent disease, and promote overall community wellbeing.

You can view the City’s first Public Health Plan on this page for more background. We already have strong insights from the recent Living in Canning survey, and the questions that follow will help us fill any remaining gaps. The Plan will also recognise the City’s significant contributions to community health through its services, facilities, programs and regulatory work, and will align with the State Public Health Plan 2025–2030.
