Your comments are invited on the City’s draft Local Planning Policy LP.10 – Incentive-Based Development Assessment (‘Policy LP.10’) and supporting draft Canning Good Design Guide, which were adopted by Council at its meeting on 18 September 2018 for the purpose of public advertisement.

The purpose of this policy is to encourage and incentivise development that achieves above - standard outcomes in terms of ecological sustainability; or community benefits; or architectural and urban design quality. It establishes planning flexibility which may be applied where development achieves above standard sustainability, community and design outcomes. The Guide supports the policy by providing guidance on low to medium density housing arrangements

  • Visit the City of Canning Civic and Administration Centre at 1317 Albany Highway, Cannington WA (corner of George Street West) between the hours of 8:15am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
