Initiation of Scheme Amendment No. 18 to Local Planning Scheme No. 42 - Introducing new Short-Term Rental Accommodation provisions

Help shape the future of the City of Canning

Notice is hereby given that the local government of the City of Canning is proposing a Scheme Amendment to Local Planning Scheme No. 42 (LPS 42), to include the recent Short-term Rental Accommodation (STRA) changes introduced by the State Government.

The State Government’s changes introduced new requirements on how STRAs are to be dealt with, and triggered the need for local governments in Western Australia to amend their Local Planning Schemes to ensure their Schemes are consistent with those changes.

This Scheme Amendment proposal is known as Scheme Amendment No. 18, and you are invited to share your thoughts on this.
