Development Application for Additions (wash down bay & reconfiguration of car parking) to an Industry Development at 209 Bannister Road, Lot 221, Canning Vale
Why you have received this letter
The City has received a Development Application for Additions / Alterations (Wash down bay and reconfiguration of car parking) to the existing Toyota Dealership at 209 Bannister Road, Canning Vale.
The subject site is zoned “General Industry” under the City of Canning Local Planning Scheme No. 42 (LPS 42). As the existing “Motor Vehicle Sales” use is (now) an “X” (Not Permitted) use in the “General Industry” zone, the proposed upgrades to the existing facility are considered to be an Extension to a Non-Conforming Use.
Clause 3.8.2 of LPS 42 notes that an application for development approval of a Non-Conforming use must be advertised. Prior to making a decision on the application, adjoining affected owners are invited to view the development plans and supporting reports (as applicable), and make comment on the planning matters that affect their property.
Please note that the City will endeavour to advise any tenants at this property of the above proposal; however, it may not always possible for us to contact them. This may be due to the site not having a physical post box or there being more than one tenant on the property. As the owner of the property the onus is on you to pass on this information to your tenants if it is likely that they will be impacted by the proposal.
