Canning Active Travel Schools Network

The City of Canning plans to start a Canning Active Travel Schools Network, with the purpose of supporting schools active travel initiatives. The meetings will provide opportunities for all schools in the City of Canning to share, learn and get inspired about active travel.

Hear about the Department of Transport’s Your Move program offerings, get updates from the City of Canning, and be inspired by guest speakers! Meetings will be catered and held approximately twice a year, with ongoing support available in between.

If you’re from a Your Move school, you can make the most of the points system by using 310 points to fund teacher relief, and earn at least 50 points by attending and posting a story about the meeting.

What is 'Your Move'?

Your Move is a free Department of Transport program that provides exclusive offers each year to help you grow an active community at your school and help inspire more students and their families to walk, wheel, scoot and ride to school. Your Move provides opportunities for your school to access things like a Connecting Schools Grant, Bike education, Leadership Labs for students and Safe Routes to School access guides.
