The Amherst Park playground design chosen by the community includes the features that you wanted to see: more focus on nature and adventure play and more inclusive and accessible play spaces with better shade.
Amherst Park's new playground includes traditional style play equipment in the main play area with shade sails and a connected extension of rubber softfall with a basket swing.
This upgrade is part of our long term Playground Renewal Project, which is guided by our Play Provision Strategy.
