Consultation has concluded

The City is undertaking a pilot community engagement project within Queens Park so we can learn about the Queens Park community and its aspirations for the suburb. Through targeted activities and events, the City would also like to support community led initiatives that activate the Queens Park community in their own way. Some of these initiatives will include neighbourhood walks, a neighbourhood pitch opportunity for local ideas and a Play Streets initiative. Please see all details on the side right panel.

If you want to hear more about the project or would like to be involved further please contact the City’s Community Development Officer on 9231 0953 or email community@canning.wa.gov.au

  • Do you have an idea on how to improve your Queens Park?

Can you share your idea at a community event in April?

    Then pitch it!

The City would like to see YOUR community ideas come to life. Pitch your idea to access these funds.

There is a pool of $15 000 for small place improvements, activities, events and other fun ideas!

Ideas will be pitched to the community at the Queens Park Community Affair event on Wednesday 8 April 2020. Attendees will be able to vote on their favourite ideas, and the City will help make these ideas happen.

What does a pitch mean? It means you get up on stage at the event and tell the community audience about your amazing idea within 3-5 minutes. City staff can help you plan your pitch, and how to tell the community what your amazing ideas is. Look at the pitch videos and examples in the right hand column.

With this in mind, tell us about the idea you would like to pitch at the Queens Park Community Affair event!

Please submit one idea per submission.
