- 13 November: Community workshop 1 - to identify values and opportunities for management of the foreshore.
- 4 December: Community workshop 2 Discussion of concepts and priorities for the draft management plan.
What is happening?

Management Plan. The City is seeking community and stakeholder input on the key
foreshore management issues that are of interest or are required under legislative
and policy frameworks.
What is a Management Plan?
What is the difference between this project and the Shelley Beach Master Plan?
The Shelley Beach Master Plan will identify key elements for the future development of Shelley Beach Park and will set out where they will be located. Shelley Beach Park is one section in the Shelley Rossmoyne Foreshore. For more information regarding the Master Plan project please visit www.yoursaycanning.com.au/shelleybeach.The Shelley Rossmoyne Foreshore Management Plan will guide the future use and management of the foreshore. The Shelley Rossmoyne Foreshore extends 6.8 kilometres from Yagan Wetland Reserve along the eastern bank of Bull Creek and along the southern banks of the Canning River to Shelley Bridge. It includes the land between the river and the Riverton Drive road reserve and covers an area of approximately 16.2 hectares.
What does the project entail?
Why is the City developing a new Management Plan for the Shelley Rossmoyne Foreshore?
The existing Management Plan for Shelley Rossmoyne Foreshore is nearly 20 years old and needs to be updated. Since the first plan was written, there have been changes in some best-practice management techniques and in State Government policies and strategies which need to be reflected for the plan to be current.
What happens after the Shelley Rossmoyne Foreshore Management Plan has been created?
