Development Proposal – Telecommunication Infrastructure – (Lot 506) Vellgrove Avenue PARKWOOD

Pursuant to clause 64 of the deemed provisions comments are invited from adjoining and adjacent landowners/occupiers on the development proposal for a Telecommunication Infrastructure at (Lot 506) Vellgrove Avenue Parkwood.

The proposal is:

  • Overall height of 32.4m;
  • 30m high monopole;
  • 6 panel antennas;
  • Associated ancillary equipment; and
  • Equipment cabinet at base.

It is noted that given the subject property is zoned under Parks and Recreation under the Metropolitan Region Scheme, the application is to be determined by the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage.

Matters that we would like you to consider

With a view to balance the need for effective telecommunications services and effective roll-out of networks, with the community interest in protecting the visual character of local areas, the City is seeking your comments in relation to the visual amenity impact of the proposal prior to making a decision. Visual amenity could be generally examined in terms of the siting, location and design of the telecommunication infrastructure.
