Norman Park

Playground Update

A big thank you to everyone who shared their ideas and feedback for the playground renewal.
Your input has been incredibly valuable, and we truly appreciate the time and thought you put into helping shape the future of your local park.

We’ve used your input to create two draft designs, and we’re inviting you to help us take the next step by choosing the design you’d most like to see come to life.

Stay in the loop: Register for updates to receive the latest news on the playground project.

Once the community’s preferred design is selected, we’ll move forward with construction, with installation anticipated in early- mid 2027

Thank you for being part of this exciting renewal!

Help Us Design a New Playground at Norman Park, St James

The City of Canning is updating this playground as part of our Playground Renewal Program, and we’d love your input.

The current play equipment has reached the end of its life and will be replaced. This is your chance to share ideas and help create a fun, safe, and welcoming playground for everyone in the community.

Share Your Ideas

If you use this playground, or are excited about a new one, please tell us what you would like to see. Your ideas will help playground designers create draft designs. You will also have a chance to give feedback on those designs later.

We’d love your input on:

  • How often you visit the park
  • What you and your family like to do there
  • What playground features your children enjoy
  • Your preferred playground style
  • The types of swings and slides you’d like
  • Any sensory elements you’d like included

Please note: This project focuses on playground equipment only. It does not include:

  • Exercise equipment
  • Basketball courts, pump tracks or skate parks
  • Barbecues, picnic tables or shelters
  • Drinking fountains
  • Rubbish bins
  • Park benches
  • Toilets

We want to hear from you!

We value your ideas and thank you for being involved. You can share your thoughts by completing our online feedback form, visit the link below and tell us about your favourite playground equipment.
