We’re excited to announce that the City of Canning is upgrading another seven playgrounds across our community in the 2025-26 financial year! Our playgrounds are more than just spaces to play—they’re where our children’s imaginations come alive, where families connect, and where our neighbourhoods flourish.

As part of our ongoing efforts to provide quality recreational spaces, we’re planning to upgrade our playgrounds to provide:

  • Better shade
  • A focus on nature and adventure play, and
  • more inclusive and accessible play spaces

These improvements will ensure that our outdoor play areas are safe, fun, and engaging for children of all ages.

Reminder that this playground renewal project addresses the playground only and does not include surrounding park infrastructure, such as:

  • Exercise equipment
  • Basketball courts, pump tracks and skate parks
  • Barbeques
  • Picnic tables and/or shelters
  • Drinking fountains
  • Rubbish bins
  • Park benches
  • Toilets

We want to hear from you!
If you use the playground, tell us what you’d like to see in the new design by sharing your thoughts below. The Playground Designers will use your ideas to create draft designs, and later, you’ll have a chance to give feedback on those plans. If you want to be part of the process, make sure to sign up!
