FREE Aboriginal Employment Mentoring Program

Are you 18 - 26 years of age and looking for employment?

Join the FREE Ngalang Kadjin Moorditj (our spirit strong) program and build your job readiness skills over eight weeks. This mentoring program is specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and is run by three local Aboriginal organisations with support from an Aboriginal Employment Mentor.

Topics include:

  • job readiness skills
  • cultural strength and resilience
  • social and emotional well-being
  • culturally appropriate employment and enterprise skills.

You will also engage with and learn from Aboriginal Curators, learn to cook a feed, learn language and create connection to your mob, attend art class, participate in bush walks and Yarning Circles, build your entrepreneurship skills at Noongar Radio and receive assistance with resume writing, applying for jobs and interview skills.

Included in the program:

  • transport support
  • lunch
  • T-shirt and welcome pack
  • Graduation ceremony for participants who complete the program.

The program starts march 2022 and runs two day per week for eight weeks. Program times vary however will run between 9am - 4pm daily.

To register, complete the Expressions of Interest Form (below) By Thursday 21st of April 5pm.

Program requires mandatory double vaccination to help protect participants and the wider communities.
