The Proposal
The proposed Mixed-Use development located at 213 & 215 Sevenoaks Street CANNINGTON. The development comprises of the following:
Provisions for commercial tenancies (shop, medical consulting rooms and coffee kiosk) on the ground floor/street level of the development along Sevenoaks.
The residential component proposes the following dwelling configurations;
Twenty-eight (28) single bedroom and single bedroom dwellings; and
Eight (8) two (2) bedrooms and two (2) bathroom dwellings.
A total of 55 car parking spaces have been proposed with the following makeup
11 commercial/visitor spaces
44 residential spaces (car stacking arrangement).
6 Motorcycle bays
Vehicle access will be provided via the Right of Way (RoW) at the rear of the site, with pedestrian access provided directly off Sevenoaks Street.

The development application has been assessed against the planning framework set out in the Residential Design Codes Volume 2, the City’s Local Planning Scheme 42, and the Queens Park Local Structure Plan (including Amendment 2). An assessment of the application by the City’s officers note the following key matter requiring consideration:
The development proposed at 6 storeys in lieu of the 5 storey;
Ground floor commercial
Level 1 Parking level
Level 2 – Level 5 Apartment Dwelling
Level 6 – Roof Top Terrace
Prior to making a recommendation on the application, adjoining affected owners and occupiers are invited to view the development plans and supporting reports, and make comment on the planning matters that affect their property.

Written submissions, including the affected property address, are not considered confidential and may be referred to the applicant to assist negotiations relating to the proposal. Written submissions may also be the subject of Freedom of Information requests and included as attachments to any public planning report relating to the application.
What happens following consultation?
Once the consultation period closes, a delegated officer of the City will assess the proposal, taking into account relevant planning considerations and any feedback received from affected landowners and occupiers.
If the City makes a decision on the development application (approval or refusal), we will contact you to explain how your comments were considered.
In some cases, the application may be referred to a Council meeting for determination. If this occurs, you will receive an invitation to attend or view the meeting online.
