Have your say on proposed Single House at 10 First Avenue, Rossmoyne. City reference: DA26/0520
The City of Canning has received an application for a Single House at 10 First Avenue, Rossmoyne.
Before we make a decision on the application, we would like to hear from nearby property owners and residents who may be affected by the proposal.
What is being proposed?
The application proposes:
- A new Single House on the subject site. The proposed Single House results in the application seeking consideration under the design principles under Residential Design Codes Volume 1 (R-Codes) under Clauses 5.1.3 Lot Boundary Setbacks and 5.4.1 Visual Privacy (overlooking).
Why are we asking for your feedback?
Under the City’s planning rules, this type of development requires development approval and may be advertised for public comment.
The City is undertaking consultation of the application due to the height of the proposed garage boundary wall on the northern boundary, the setback of the first floor Bed 4 wall and window to the southern boundary, and the associated visual privacy (overlooking) setback of the Bed 4 window to the southern boundary. Any feedback received will be considered as part of the City’s assessment.

The consultation period is open from Friday 23 October 2026 to Friday 6 November 2026.

You do not have to provide feedback. If we do not receive a response from you and you have been directly consulted, we will simply record that you have not provided any comments. This will not be treated as either support for or opposition to the proposal.
What happens next?
After consultation closes, the City will assess the application and consider the feedback received.
If you provide feedback, we will let you know the outcome and explain how the matters you raised were considered. If the application needs to be considered at a Council meeting, we will also let you know how you can attend or watch online.
