The City has received a development application for a Beauty Salon - Home Business at 2/21 James Street CANNINGTON.

The proposal can be summarised below;

  • The Beauty salon will provide the below services;
    1. Eyebrow shaping, facial steaming and massage;
    2. Waxing treatment;
    3. Eyelash extension, tinting and eyebrow lamination; and
    4. Make up styling.
  • Proposed Hours of operation;
    • Monday to Friday: 9: 00 AM – 5:30 PM
    • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • The proposal does not occupy an area greater than 50m2;
  • The business is appointments only, ensuring one client being present at the property at any given time; and
  • The business will be owner – operated. There will be no more than 2 people who are not members of the occupier’s household.

As part of the assessment of this application, adjoining/nearby affected owners and occupiers are invited to view the development plans and supporting reports (as applicable), and make comment on the planning matters that affect their property.

In accordance with Part 8 of Local Planning Policy LP-11- Public Consultation of Planning Proposals, if no response is received from a notified owner or occupier, the City will assume there are no comments. A lack of response will not be interpreted as either support or objection.
