The Proposal
The City has received the above-mentioned development application for Un-hosted Short Term Rental Accommodation. The proposal is summarised to consider the use of one dwelling for unhosted short stay for up to 4 guests.
Prior to making a decision on the application, adjoining affected owners and occupiers are invited to view the development plans and supporting reports, and make comment on the planning matters that affect their property.
Matters that we would like you to consider
In considering an application for development approval, the local government will have regard to matters detailed in Schedule 2, Part 9, Clause 67 (2) of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015; inclusive of the City’s Local Planning Scheme No. 42 and the State's Position Statement - Tourism and Short-Term Rental Accommodation. In assessing the application, the City has identified the following due regard matters that could impact nearby properties:
The compatibility of the development with its setting including the relationship of the development to development on adjoining or on other land in the locality including, but not limited to, the likely effect of the height, bulk, scale, orientation and appearance of the development;
The impact on the amenity of the locality;
The aims, objectives and provisions of the Residential zone in which the proposal is located; and
Any other valid planning consideration(s) that may be deemed relevant to the proposal.
